Our Climate Commitment

We pledge to continually invest and spend time in doing our bit to clean up the planet.

At Pickersgill, we are committed to making this sentence a reality:
Moving home doesn’t have to be bad for the environment.

It is our pledge is to recycle as much as we can, invest in our fleet for efficient, low carbon vehicles and train our team on ways we can reduce our carbon footprint.

Studies show that the typical UK home move creates an average of 16.8kg of CO2 emissions – that’s equivalent to keeping a light bulb on continuously for 53.85 days.

We understand that being climate conscious may not be a top priority when moving home, so we do this for you.

Ways we reduce our carbon footprint:

  • We are ISO 14001 accredited, we follow a robust environmental management system
  • Our fleet is Euro 6, meeting the directive set by the EU to reduce the level of harmful pollutants
  • We recycle wherever we can, making use of pre-used boxes and recycling unwanted items

“We try to do our bit in every customer touch point, whether that's helping to recycle unwanted items, through to the vans we drive and the uniform we wear” Ciaran Mullarkey, Managing Director
